ELECTRIC HEATING CABLES

INSTALLATION SUMMARY REFER TO MANUFACTURERS

Warm
Floor Rough in Kit
- 4"x4"
Box with vertical plaster ring mounted approximately
60" above the floor. This box will also
house the thermostat and electricians power
supply.
- Blue
ENT tube with 3/4" connector ran to floor
for future cold lead chase. Tube is normally
cutoff at drywall surface.
- Opaque
sensor tube is fastened to ENT cold lead tube
for termination in floor mass. Position the
sensor tube near the heating cable. Normal
placement is approximately 24" from wall.
- Fasteners
and ties are provided.
- Refer
to local code authorities for proper wiring
of electrical components.

Pre-Fastened

WITH KIT)
1. Rough in kit is provided for your standard
installation.
2. Customers drawing of coverage area with notation
of rough-in placement is provided to our shop
as pattern for our fastening of element to a
thin plastic mesh. This assembly is approx.
1/4" high.
3. Mesh with pre-attached element is shipped
to site for placement on floor. Cold leads are
ran up pipe chase to thermostat and sensor tube
is attached. Point attachments may re required. |

Sizing
a room for the Warm Floor Kit:
Step 1. Multiply the room length by the
room width to determine total square footage.
Step 2. Subtract the areas under cabinets,
6" from wall perimeters, and other areas
where cables wont be installed.
Note: The National Electrical Code does not allow
electric heating cables to be spaced closer than
1 inch, in closets or under cabinetry. (See National
Electrical Code, Article 424-44)
Step 3. Refer to square foot coverage of
surface area for warm floor kit selection. |
